PARTS OF SPEECH
Parts of speech in a language mean the role or part played by a word in a sentence. This is similar to the roles we play in our lives. In one place you might be a student, in another a friend, yet in another, if you are working, you might be a boss or a subordinate. We also play different roles at home when we interact with different people. In all the roles we play, our role and interaction depends upon the relationship with the people with whom we are interacting. Similarly, words are categorized according to the role or part they play in a sentence.
